In Loving Memory of Fredda Cole

In Loving Memory of Fredda Cole

7th Feb 2018

We recently received news that Fredda Cole has passed away suddenly. We remember her today as she was, always a big smile on her face, and what she has done for Ride for Kids, and the Ural community. Fredda lived life to the fullest with adventure close to her heart. She traveled all over the world riding motorcycles and exploring on her Ural. She remains the holder of the “World Land Speed Record” on her Ural motorcycle, set in Utah in 2000 on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Fredda's height (4'6'') made it difficult to balance a typical motorcycle, but that didn't stop her from achieving great speeds. Because of the weight distribution of the Ural, it became a perfect fit for her and her riding style. Fredda and her husband Russ have always connected their desire to do good with their desire to ride motorcycles.

One of Fredda's biggest dedications was to Ride for Kids. She was a big contributor to the fundamental research that is needed to get children with brain tumors the care that they need. She went for years, built lasting relationships with the children, rode with the same young man every year because they built a bond together. She put lasting impressions on everyone she met. Every event we've had here at Ural of New England she has come and volunteered her time to help us out. She made sure every person walking through our doors felt welcome.

Below is a link to Ride for Kids. Fredda left large shoes to fill and we want to continue the legacy she began in helping these children. Please take the time to donate or volunteer in honor of Fredda Cole.

While we grieve the loss of her beloved personality and adventurous spirit, we are grateful for the time we've been given with her. Please enjoy the video we took of Fredda here at AlphaCars and Ural of New England, as well as some photos of her well traveled life.

Fredda loved to have fun, here she is giving rides with a custom made Ural and trailer here at AlphaCars and Ural of New England.
